They say that the study of Torah is the gateway to to soul.  Look out from within Croton Jewish Center to the world outside, with the framework of Jewish Learning.  And look in from the outside to the sanctuary, our home of learning and prayer.

As you enter the world of Croton Jewish Center, take a look around.  Entering across a slate patio, look at the wall of granite.  Note the rising column of stone from  the fireplace.  Observe the undulating slate roof. Look at the follies in the parking lot.  There is a story there waiting be discovered.

At Croton Jewish Center there is a commitment to learning and scholarship.  There is a diversity of learning.  While some can quote Talmud by the Pin, other prefer to take the choice of translations for the weekly parsha.

As you wander the halls of CJC and the sanctuary,  look up.  You will  see a profusion of whimsical lighting fixtures.  Each fixture is a separate statement, whether functional or inspirational.  Look at the gallery below and then see if you can spot each fixture in the building.

Little remains of the work of a famous word carver of the 1920's.  Here at CJC the talents of this famous wood carver can still be seen.  Look around you as you enter the sanctuary of worship.  Look above the doors, above the garage and soaring in the ceiling of the great room. You will see a bit of history.
