Baked Goat Cheese in Phyllo (Dairy) Print E-mail
Written by Seth Rowland

Served at special events, this tasty treat is simple and delicious.  Seasoned cheese wrapped in phyllo is a part of a strong Middle Eastern tradition.  In winter, it is delicious with a salad of arugula andstrips of sun-dried tomatoes or with a salad of beligan endive, walnutes and apple or pear.  In summer, service it with slices of melon, figs and grapes. Great as an appetizer or desert.

Nothing like a Hot Soup for a Kiddush. This leek and potato soup should be simple enough to make in one pot.  This soup can be prepared ahead of time and kept warm in a crock pot. A good soup warms the cuckolds.

This portion of the website is the home for recipes that are part of the jewish tradition and those that go beyond the Eastern European "brown" fare that is typically know as "jewish cuisine".  All recipes on this site will be "KOSHER" and will be identified as either meat, dairy or pareve.  We have started with a few favorites that have been served at CJC Kiddushes.  If you come visit CJC for shabbat service, you may be able to partake in this delicious fare. And if you have a good recipe to share, please send it on to the webmaster and we will be sure to include it.
