Out and About in Our Community

June 13th, 2 p.m., at Congregation Sons of Israel (Briarcliff Manor) Congressman John Hall (19th Congressional District) will speak to our community on Sunday June 13th at 2 PM at Congregational Sons of Israel (Briarcliff Manor) on the topic, "The United States-Israel Relationship: View from the House." There are several very significant actions that both the United States and Israel will take over the next few months, not least of which are dealing with Iran's nuclear ambitions and continuing negotiations with the Palestinians. It is important for us to have a clear understanding of how the Congress approaches these issues.

Money for Jewish Summer Camp Program - There is a wonderful program for first time campers at jewish summer Camps offered by the Foundation for Jewish Camp. They give grants of $700 - $1500 for campers who have never attended more than 2 weeks of a Jewish sleepaway camp and you can apply online at Jewish Foundation Camp Scholarships.
