The Croton Jewish Center is a Conservative, egalitarian congregation. Our community is open to all. Please join us for Shabbat services every Saturday morning. Our services employ a traditional Hebrew liturgy, a range of beautiful and spirited melodies, broad congregational participation, and learned and engaging divrei Torah. Or join us for one of our many social activities. Our community reflects, and celebrates, the rich diversity of our neighborhood: couples and singles, old and young, professionals and blue-collar workers, professors and students, observant and secular, knowledgeable and beginners, straight and gay. We welcome all.

The members of our synagogue are the strength behind it. While we are a mainstream Conservative Synagogue, our members come from a variety of backgrounds with varied levels of Jewish education and observance. What we all share is the desire for spiritual growth and a connection to the Jewish community for our families and ourselves. Our Services are traditional, but with the full participation of women at the bimah. Our annual membership dues include attendance at High Holiday services for the immediate family. Families with children in our religious school in classes Alef (First Grade) and above are required to be members of the synagogue. We are currently offering one year free membership to families who enroll their children in our Religious School for the first time. For additional information please call (914) 271-2218 or email

We understand that Croton Jewish Center, as a Jewish community, is a sanctuary against the alienation and dysfunction of much of modern, secular life. Through all we do as a congregation through prayer, socializing, learning, teaching our children, celebrating or commemorating Jewish life cycle events we share in each other's happiness and we strengthen one another in times of sorrow. |

Parents play the most important role in forming a child’s Jewish identity. The religious school you pick ranks second. Croton Jewish Center can provide your child with a meaningful Jewish education that will last a lifetime. Our small classes, outstanding faculty, and innovative curriculum allow every student to shine. Serving students from pre-kindergarten through bar and bat mitzvah, the Croton Jewish Center religious school offers an integrated curriculum of Jewish ritual, identity, history, prayer, and Hebrew. Graduates are comfortable participating in synagogue services and celebrations at home. See for yourself just how good a religious school can be.
